September 14: Award ceremony at the City Museum (Stadsmuseet). Note the date – it’s been moved up. September

The start of Stockholm Fotomaraton

The start is from Stadsmuseet, Ryssgården (see map link), Stockholm.

Check-in takes place from 10 o’clock, and the start is at 12 o’clock. Be in time!

Every four hours, you should pass a checkpoint, where you will receive your next theme card. On the theme map, you will find four new themes for the coming hours and the location of the next checkpoint. You must show up at each station within its opening hours.

The opening hours of the stations are as follows:

  • Start – 12.00
  • Checkpoint 2 – 15.00-17.00
  • Checkpoint 3 – 19.00-21.00 (this is also the finish line for the 8-hour class)
  • Checkpoint 4 – 23.00-01.00
  • Checkpoint 5 – 03.00-05.00
  • Checkpoint 6 – 07.00-09.00
  • Finish – 11.00-13.00

Finish line

It’s a secret until you get your last theme map.

You will submit your pictures to our staff on-site by the finish line.It is VERY IMPORTANT that your memory card only contains 8/24 pictures in JPEG format. Not more or less.

If you shoot the film, you will submit your exposed roll in an envelope you will receive at the finish line.

You will submit your photos via a web portal if you participate with your phone. More info at the finish.

Do not forget to transfer your tickets!

Have you bought tickets for someone else or maybe sold your ticket? Do not forget to transfer the ticket to that person.

Transferring the ticket is fast and is needed so that the person gets the correct info emails.

Do not wait – follow these instructions.

Additional memory card

A good tip is to bring an additional memory card to take pictures from your participation that are not the competing pictures. There will be times when you want to take a picture of something not in the competition. If you compete in the mobile class, ensure you have room for your pictures.
